Our Values
Griffin Baptist Church is located in the foothills of the mountains in Pickens, South Carolina. Our church has served this community for over 150 years. This is a picture of Glassy Mountain, which is across the street from our sanctuary.
We are a conservative Southern Baptist Church who believes the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, sufficient, and authoritative Word of God. We believe that salvation is by faith alone, through grace alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for God's glory alone.
Our conviction is that parents are the primary disciplers of their children. Therefore, one our our goals is to partner with parents to raise the next generation to love, worship, and serve Jesus Christ.
Our Beliefs
While Griffin Baptist Church is an autonomous local church, we cooperate with the Southern Baptist Convention to support worldwide missions, seminary training, disaster relief, and a host of other ministries.

What to Expect
Our worship is concerned with one thing: glorifying God. Thus, our services consist of singing songs that worship Jesus and have good theology, Scripture reading, prayer, observance of baptism and communion, giving of tithes and offerings, and expositional preaching through books of the Bible.
